Dear Friends of Carnoustie Gala
This year we are again inviting teams
to consider entering a Walking Float as well as the usual Decorated Floats,Vintage
Buses, Vintage Tractors or any other type of vehicle, or just join in the
Parade and enjoy the walk.
(A Walking Float is one where teams dress up and walk the parade as opposed
to the usual decorated float).
All floats will take the usual route from Panmure Industrial Estate along the High Street before arriving at Carnoustie House Grounds for final judging.
If you would like to take part in the Parade in any way, please advise us as soon as possible, ( see details below ).
If you would like to have a stall or hold an event/display/perfromance etc in the Arena on Gala Day, please advise us as soon as possible, ( see details below ).
Remember if you decide to have a decorated float and you need a vehicle you need to let the committee know as soon as possible to allow us to advise David Murray Transport of the number of vehicles required. David Murray Transport donate these vehicles and the drivers give up their spare time and we are grateful for their continuing support. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT DAVID MURRAY TRANSPORT DIRECT.
All matters involving David Murray Transport vehicles must be directed to the Committee. Due to the arrangements made by David Murray Transport and their drivers, late cancellations would not be appreciated.
If you are entering a decorated
float but are not using one of David Murray Transport vehicles please advise
the committee as we need to know how many vehicles will be in the parade.
Details of the routes will be attached to the relevant entry form.
We also produce a yearly programme and is funded by advertising. If you would like to place an advert in our programme please contact us as soon as possible to discuss prices etc. The cut-off date for inclusion is mid March, (contact details below ).
Please be aware of all cut of dates as noted on relevant forms.
In November we have our Torchlight Parade, this includes a "GUY COMPETITION ". This is a huge success and is now an annual event.
We look forward to seeing you at all our events and hope you enjoy Carnoustie Gala Day.
If you have any queries please contact the above or myself.
